I am Rabbi Rose, a relatable, warm, funny, and inspiring rabbi. Couples and families appreciate my accessibility and engaging and warm personality. I truly love getting to know each and every one of these mensches (awesome humans) and I can’t wait to get to know you!
We will work closely together to create a dynamic, personal ceremony you and your guests will always remember. I will provide pastoral support throughout the preparation for your lifecycle event and ensure a meaningful ceremony to mark the occasion.
about rabbi rose
Growing up in the small but mighty Jewish community of Huntsville, Alabama, Rabbi Rose learned from childhood to value and prioritize diversity and inclusion in every Jewish community she has led. She was active in NFTY and grew up at URJ Camp Coleman, where she spent 10 summers. Following her graduation from Brown University, Rabbi Rose worked at the URJ (Union for Reform Judaism), focusing on college student engagement and social justice. Rose successfully presented her rabbinic thesis; “King David’s Divas,” and was ordained in 2010. Following ordination, Rabbi Rose served as the Director of Education for several synagogues in upstate NY and Vermont before she became the rabbi of historic Knesseth Israel Synagogue in Gloversville, NY, where she took great pride in establishing enduring and meaningful relationships and leading services and lifecycle events. Rabbi Rose lives in South Florida with her husband, Rabbi Matthew Durbin, and their opinionated and cuddly daughters, Delilah, Maya and Ellie, (and their large goldendoodle daughter, Ruby!). When she isn’t working, you will find her rollerblading, making TikToks (@hotpinkrabbi), and binge-watching romance reality TV.
